The vital statistics can be further utilized to make inferences to the state of a nation’s health and
well-being. Statistics also give some indication of the reproductive health of the jurisdiction in question.
Objectives
The map illustrates the number of births and deaths in select counties of California.
The dataset was
limited to incorporated places of 50,000 or more.
For this exercise, the most populous city of each county
was used as the centroid for data.
The map may be utilized by several categories of individuals:
